Home-Theater-Furniture
Home-Theater-Furniture: You have to sit somewhere. Somewhere with a nice iced adult beverage holder. And magic fingers…
Home-Theater-Furniture SeatingPlush leather seats that look like they were ripped from the first class section of a 747 are now available (without trays) for the truly tricked out home theater from a variety of specialty manufacturers.
You can order chairs with butt-kicker speakers built in - the subwoofer taken up close and personal.
There are chairs with controlled synced-to-film motion - which are programmed to certain movies... that car chase will rock your world!
Home-Theater-Furniture racks, wall units, and stands
There is a wide variety special furniture - from stands to wall units into which you can display or hide your gear.
Warning:
The STAND SCAM and why you should avoid it. Don't get sweet talked into buying a TV stand when you buy your TV. Especially if it's the one that matches the TV, unless you have a lot of money to waste. Because it's very likely to be VERY overpriced. See the section on stands. You can get one just as good for a lot less.
There are racks for the audio and outboard gear. There are stands, ranging from chests with drawers to high tech glass shelves on suspension mounts. There are wall units which cleverly widen to take your screen size, with an overbridge over the screen that makes it look like a customized piece. These stands, racks, and wall units are available in a variety of decor-matching styles.
What to do about it:Shop around. You'll save hundreds. Racks, stands, and home theater wall units are available in many varieties and styles to suit virtually every home decor.
Here’s a gallery of Home Theater SEATING specialists, with models ranging in price from $399 to $29,000 (that, for a multiseat spectacular). Fabric choice and accessories drive prices too. I can’t link to their sites without appearing as a link farm to the search engine spyders which would penalize me if I listed them that way. Sorry. You can simply copy and paste into your browser though.
